SuomiAreena, the equivalent to the Swedish Almedalen, is a weekly societal discussion festival held annually in June in Pori. The purpose of SuomiAreena is to be an arena for democracy and freedom of speech. It raises important topics and themes by discussing current affairs and societal issues. SuomiAreena discussions are broadcasted through MTV3.

Ahjo participates with a new concept of Terve!Areena as part of NordicHealthTalks, a joint concept organized also in the other Nordic countries.
